Overview
The D-Series is Franklin Electric’s close-coupled end suction pump for irrigation, commercial, construction, municipal and general service. It has a heavy-duty cast iron body, NPT connections and clockwise rotation viewed from the motor end. Pumps to 2 HP use 56C frame motors with a shaft coupling for easy removal; larger pumps use JM frame motors with a shaft sleeve and O-ring that protect the shaft.
This listing is the DA1B NPT: 1 in discharge by 1-1/4 in suction, NPT connections, 1/2-3 HP at 3,600 RPM. It is not self-priming: run it with flooded suction or a foot valve and a full suction line.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the pump end and its 56C motor (1/3-2 HP) or JM motor (3 HP and up), close-coupled and assembled at the factory, with the impeller trimmed for the motor selected above.
Motor starter or overload protection required, ordered separately. Motors without built-in protection need a contactor and thermal overloads, sized to the motor’s full-load amps.
Suction and discharge piping, valves and gauges: sized to your installation; the suction pipe is the pump’s suction size or larger, with a foot valve where the pump sits above the water.

Franklin Electric Limited Warranty
Covered by Franklin Electric’s limited warranty for 1 year from installation or 2 years from manufacture, whichever comes first, when installed in clean, potable water applications; the warranty does not cover saltwater or other corrosive liquids (End Suction Centrifugal owner’s manual 106107101).
