A.Y. McDonald Universal Mounting Bracket

The A.Y. McDonald universal mounting bracket secures small in-line tanks to a wall, stud, or joist instead of leaving them hanging on the piping. In-line diaphragm, hydronic, and thermal expansion tanks in the 2 to 6 gallon range thread into the line by a single connection; once filled with water, that connection carries real weight, and code inspectors and manufacturers alike want the load off the fitting. This bracket carries it.

Drawn steel construction with a universal multi-hole pattern that fits the common in-line tank diameters and mounting positions, allowing vertical or horizontal tank orientation. Typical installations: a thermal expansion tank on the cold supply beside a water heater, a hydronic expansion tank at the boiler, or a small in-line pressure tank next to a booster pump.
