A.Y. McDonald Series 16 thermal expansion tanks absorb the pressure rise created when a water heater heats water in a closed plumbing system with a check valve or pressure reducing valve. Installing one on the cold supply protects the water heater, the T&P relief valve, and fixtures from thermal expansion pressure spikes. Diaphragm design with a 3/4 in male connection.

• NSF/ANSI 61 listed for drinking water contact.
• Factory pre-charged; verify and adjust pre-charge to your pressure switch setting at installation.
• Series 16 model coding: base P plastic, M metal; position V vertical, H horizontal; connection size 2 = 1/2 in, 3 = 3/4 in, 4 = 1 in, 5 = 1-1/4 in; M male, F female.
