What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the pump, motor, and a pressure switch factory set to 20/40 PSI on the 1/2 HP or 30/50 PSI on the 3/4, 1 and 1 1/2 HP models.
Jet ejector package required, ordered separately. Shallow well: the 8000 Series shallow well ejector package by HP (8050JP, 8050HPJP high pressure, 8070JP, 8010JP, 8015JP). Deep well: the 4 in two-pipe or 2 in single-pipe ejector kits; A.Y. McDonald’s kits include venturis and nozzles for all depths.
Pressure tank, foot valve and well piping: sized to your well and ordered separately. A reliable foot valve is a must on a deep well jet.
Overview
The 8000 E-Series is A.Y. McDonald’s convertible jet pump in 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 1 1/2 HP, with flows up to 46 GPM. Bolt the shallow well ejector to the pump for water up to 25 ft below; put the deep well ejector down the well for deeper water. Without an ejector it moves high volume at low pressure for transfer work.
Certified for drinking water to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372, for private wells and home water systems.

Single Unit
Each pump runs on its own pressure switch and tank. Size it to peak demand at your depth to water. For deep wells at higher pressure, the 1500 Multi-Stage reaches 160 ft.

Where two voltages are shown, the first is the factory wiring setting. Voltage is changed with the voltage change device on the motor, never at the pressure switch, and must match your supply before power is applied. All models listed are single phase unless the table states 3Ph.

High capacity or high pressure ejector: at 1/2 HP from 15 ft, the 8050JP gives 9.1 GPM at 40 PSI and shuts off at 58 PSI; the 8050HPJP gives 8.3 GPM at 40 PSI and still 3.5 GPM at 60 PSI, with a 77 PSI shut-off. A 40/60 PSI switch at 1/2 HP needs the High Pressure ejector.
