What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the 26000 Series H - 70 GPM pump end with its built-in check valve.

Motor required, ordered separately: a Baker 4 in motor of the same horsepower. Part numbers for the 230V motors are in the motor table under Models & Performance.

And the motor’s control: two-wire motors need none; single-phase three-wire motors need a control box; three-phase motors need a starter kit.

Overview

The 26000 Series H - 70 GPM pump end is the hydraulic end of Baker’s 26000 Series 4 in submersible pump, sold without the motor. It mounts on a NEMA 4 in Baker motor of the same horsepower, to build a new pump or rebuild one in the field.

The shaft is 431 stainless steel and every other metal part is 304 stainless steel. Mounting follows the NEMA standard.

This listing covers 2 to 10 HP (5 models), all with a 2 in NPT discharge.

Genuine A.Y. McDonald equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier. Watermain Supply is an Authorized Stocking A.Y. McDonald and Baker Water Systems Distributor.
A.Y. McDonald Limited Warranty

Covered for 2 years from the date of manufacture or 1 year from the date of installation, whichever comes first, under A.Y. McDonald’s standard limited warranty for Baker products.

Room to Grow

One pump end per motor. Need more head later? Step up in horsepower within the H - 70 GPM class with the matching larger motor. Need more flow? Move to a higher flow class of the 26000 Series; discharge sizes run 1 1/4 in to 2 in across the series.

Models & Performance — Will It Do What You Need?

Find your horsepower in the row, then read across. Total head is the lift from the pumping water level to the discharge, plus the pressure you want at the tank (2.31 ft for every PSI), plus friction in the drop pipe.

Total head in feet · curves end at 91.5–92 GPM

HP 0 GPM (Shut-off) 20 GPM 45 GPM 70 GPM 90 GPM
2 HP 92 ft 89 ft 77 ft 57 ft 34 ft
3 HP 154 ft 148 ft 128 ft 95 ft 59 ft
5 HP 238 ft 233 ft 214 ft 162 ft 100 ft
7 1/2 HP 359 ft 349 ft 309 ft 237 ft 151 ft
10 HP 476 ft 463 ft 410 ft 318 ft 202 ft

Read from the published curve in the Pumps by Baker catalog (Sept 2025, rev 3/26), p. 118, digitized and rounded down, at the flows nearest 20%, 50% and 75% of the curve’s 92.2 GPM end. 0 GPM is the printed shut-off. For the 2 HP and 10 HP curves, the published curve and A.Y. McDonald’s printed output tables disagree by about 7 and 18 ft on average; the head figures are read from the curve, and the output tables below are the printed figures. The last column is the last flow every curve reaches; the curve ends are named in the table title.

Output tables as printed in the Pumps by Baker catalog (Sept 2025, rev 3/26), pp. 117-118, at the 30 and 50 PSI rows. Riser-pipe friction is not included (manufacturer note): add it for long or small drop pipe. — marks a point A.Y. McDonald does not print for that horsepower.
