The Smith-Blair EZW Maxi-Grip restraint coupling joins and restrains plain-end pipe of the same outside diameter in a single stab-fit installation - no thrust blocks, tie rods, or separate restraint hardware. A one-piece grip ring with case hardened teeth engages the pipe as the followers are tightened, while the timing gasket skirt seals before the grip ring bites, so the joint seals and restrains in the correct order every time.
Rated for steel, ductile iron, PVC (DR26 minimum), and MDPE or HDPE with an internal stiffener (DR32.5 minimum, stiffener required on all PE). Available with standard low alloy or 304 stainless hardware for corrosive soils and wastewater service. For joining pipe of two different outside diameters, see the EZW reducing coupling.
