Overview

A sine-wave filter on the output of the variable-frequency drive smooths the pulse-width-modulated waveform delivered to the motor, which matters on long motor cables and on submersible installations. Grundfos publishes one filter pairing for each CUE drive; that pairing is reproduced below. The five 97774436 to 97775149 filters for 200-500V drives are IP23 and not UL Listed, per the Grundfos price book; enclosure ratings of the other filters are from the Grundfos product data.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: one sine-wave output filter at the current band you select.

Required: the matching Grundfos CUE Variable Frequency Drive; each filter is paired with the drive part numbers in the table below.

Note: the five filters from 115 A up are IP23 and not UL Listed, per the Grundfos price book.

Genuine Grundfos equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
Warranty

24 months from date of installation, but not more than 30 months from date of manufacture. In Grundfos's words, products are “warranted to the original user only to be free of defects in material and workmanship”; the full terms are in the installation and operating instructions on the Data Sheet tab.

The drive supply and matched part number columns show every CUE drive Grundfos pairs with each filter. The 730 to 890 A drives use two filters.

Before You OrderConfirm the drive part number against the pairing table. Where a project specification requires a UL Listed filter, the IP23 filters (see the Enclosure column) do not qualify. No pairing is published for the IP66 CUE drives.
