Grundfos CR 3 Vertical Multistage Pump End, Motor Not Included

A CR pump end is an entire Grundfos vertical multistage hydraulic assembly — pump head, base, chamber stack, impellers, shaft and cartridge shaft seal — supplied without a motor. It is what you order to rebuild an existing CR installation, to re-stage a pump whose duty has changed, or to build a pump onto a motor you already have.

The pump head and base are cast iron; the chambers, impellers, shaft and sleeves in contact with the liquid are AISI 304 stainless. The layout is in-line: suction and discharge sit on the same centreline at the same height, so it drops into a straight pipe run.

This listing covers the CR 3 frame in 1 1/4 in ANSI 250 lb flanged and 1 in oval flanges, NPT female. Choose the connection with the seal in the variant selector — the two builds differ in port size, pressure rating and shipping weight, and the table below sets them side by side.

• HQQE — silicon-carbide faces, EPDM elastomers, -4 to 248 °F liquid range.
• HQQV — silicon-carbide faces, FKM (Viton) elastomers, -4 to 194 °F liquid range.

Both are cartridge seals: the seal is replaced as a complete unit without dismantling the pump or setting faces by hand. In the Grundfos code the last letter is the elastomer — E = EPDM, V = FKM (Viton). If you are pumping water, HQQE.

Pump end only: pump head, base, chamber stack, impellers, shaft, sleeves and the cartridge shaft seal, factory assembled. Oval flanges are included on the NPT build.
