Overview
The DAB Tesla GF 6 in submersible motor is built tough, combining AISI 304 stainless steel and cast iron construction to make it durable and long-lasting. The parts that come into contact with water are coated with a protective paint coating.
To ensure top performance, the thrust bearing assembly and carbon brushes are cooled and lubricated with a mixture of water and glycol. The squirrel-cage rotor is securely mounted on a Kingsbury self-centering thrust bearing. The 30 to 60 HP models come with a heavy-duty thrust bearing for reliable operation in deep wells. The stator is housed in a sealed canned-type stainless casing.
For easy maintenance there is a removable cable connector; the cable meets NSF, UL and CSA standards. The motor is designed for use with a variable frequency drive from 30 Hz to 60 Hz. Three-phase versions offer DOL or star-delta starting. The user must provide overload protection. A PT100 temperature sensor option adds temperature monitoring.
