Overview
The DAB Tesla 4TW is a 2-wire submersible asynchronous two-pole motor. It is made with durable AISI 304 stainless steel, ensuring that the parts in contact with water are protected.
To keep the motor cool and lubricated, a mixture of water and glycol is used for the thrust bearing assembly and carbon bushes. The squirrel-cage rotor is securely mounted on a Kingsbury self-centering thrust bearing. The stator is housed in a sealed stainless steel casing, with both the flanges and shell made from AISI 304L stainless steel.
For easy maintenance there is a removable cable connector; the cable itself is certified by CSA to UL and NSF standards. The motor is compatible with a variable frequency drive, allowing flexible use with frequencies from 30 Hz to 60 Hz. The capacitor is protected inside the motor casing where it is directly connected to the motor windings, eliminating the need for an external control box. Thermal protection is included in the motor.
