Overview
The DAB Tesla 4GG is a 3-wire submersible asynchronous two-pole motor made of AISI 304 stainless steel to ensure durability for the components that come into contact with water. To keep the thrust bearing assembly and carbon brushes cool and lubricated, a mixture of water and glycol is used. The squirrel-cage rotor is securely mounted on a Kingsbury self-centering thrust bearing. The stator is housed in a sealed canned-type stainless casing, with both the flanges and shell made from AISI 304L.
For easy maintenance there is a removable cable connector, and the cable is certified to NSF, UL and CSA. The motor is designed for use with a variable frequency drive from 30 Hz to 60 Hz.
In the single-phase version from 1.5 to 5 HP, the capacitor and manually resettable overload protection are located in the Control Box, supplied separately. In the single-phase 0.5 to 1 HP version, thermal protection is already included in the motor but it still requires the Control Box with the capacitor for correct operation. For the three-phase version the user must provide their own overload protection.

Where two voltages are shown, the first is the factory wiring setting. Voltage is changed on the motor terminal board, never at the pressure switch. All models are single phase unless the table states 3Ph.
