Overview

The DAB S3 is a 3 in multi-impeller submersible pump for 3 in or larger wells, sold ready to use with its two-wire stainless motor. It pressurizes and lifts water from underground for homes, gardens and irrigation, and also suits tanks and cisterns. Three flow classes, 5, 10 and 15 GPM nominal, each come in 0.5, 0.75 and 1 HP.

  • Sand resistant: technopolymer impellers in stainless steel adjustment rings.
  • Stainless construction: liner, shaft, coupling, suction filter and cable guard in stainless steel; cast AISI 304 suction and delivery supports.
  • Built-in non-return valve, removable.
  • Two-wire stainless motor: AISI 304, water and glycol cooled, Kingsbury-type thrust block; no control box.
  • VFD ready from 30 to 60 Hz, with a removable CSA-approved cable connector.

Included: the S3 pump end with its built-in non-return valve and the two-wire AISI 304 stainless motor, assembled as one complete pump, with a 5 ft power cable on a removable connector.

No control box needed. The S3 motor is two-wire, so nothing else is required for it to run.

Drop pipe, drop cable and splice kit: sized to your setting depth and ordered separately.

Installation Notes
  • Install vertically. In a horizontal installation DAB requires a minimum load on the thrust unit and a cooling sleeve.
  • Allow no more than 20 starts per hour.
  • The motor runs on a variable frequency drive from 30 to 60 Hz.
  • The power cable plugs in through a removable connector, so a damaged cable is replaced without opening the motor.
