Overview

CIM 500 is the Grundfos communication interface module for a direct Ethernet connection. It puts the pump or booster system on a building management or SCADA network over PROFINET IO, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP or BACnet IP, and it is the Grundfos Remote Management (GRM) and GiC module for a direct internet connection. The module fits inside the pump terminal box and must be fitted by authorized persons.

Grundfos lists it for: Dedicated Controls (CU 362), BoosterpaQ (CU 352), MAGNA3, Hydro Multi-E (Model H, I, J, 2), Hydro Multi-B, E-pump MGE (Model H, I, J, 11 to 22 kW), CIU900 and CIU901.

CIU900 and CIU901 are Grundfos communication interface unit boxes, supplied without a CIM module installed. CIU900 does not contain an I/O board; CIU901 does.

GRM access needs a Grundfos data plan: the one-year direct-internet service for use with CIM 500 is quoted by Grundfos, and we can arrange it with the order.

Before You OrderCheck that your pump or controller is on the list above and which protocol your BMS uses. A CIU box ships empty, so order the CIM module with it. GRM needs a Grundfos data plan in addition to the module.
