Goulds ResiBoost Booster Pump

ResiBoost is a complete packaged constant-pressure system rather than a pump you build a system around. A stainless steel e-HM multistage pump, a ResiBoost variable frequency drive pre-wired to it with the pressure transducer built into the controller, and a diaphragm tank — six part numbers covering residential boosting up to 40 GPM.

Goulds is direct about what it is for: municipal water customers whose incoming pressure sags when demand rises, and repressurizing from a storage tank. As household demand changes the drive changes motor speed to hold the pressure steady, which is the difference between a shower that stays constant and one that drops every time the dishwasher fills.

Every rating is within the working limits of the motor as recommended by the motor manufacturer, so the pump can be operated continuously. The kit ships assembled and pre-wired, with the tank packed separately for shipping.

ResiBoost is supplied as one complete system. Goulds does not publish a paired or duty/standby configuration for this range.

Where a building needs more water or a second pump, the Aquavar range carries it. The Aquavar e-AB3 runs single or multi-pump systems with auto lead/lag and alternation for up to three pumps, with no external control panel or PLC, and reaches 75 GPM and 290 ft of head.

Stainless e-HM pump — Stainless steel multistage pump with a small footprint, rated within the motor manufacturer’s working limits for continuous operation.

Pre-wired VFD with internal transducer — The controller arrives pre-programmed and wired to the pump, with the transducer inside it — no separate sensor to mount, wire or fail.

Built-in check valve — A purpose-designed fitting with a spring-loaded check valve is part of the assembly.

Diaphragm tank — Included in the kit, packed separately for shipping.

Electrical protection — Against no water, motor over-current, open lead, low system pressure, overheating, short circuit, over-voltage and under-voltage.

LCD display and memory — Push-button setup on an LCD, with stored operating hours, number of starts, power supply connections and faults — which is the first thing worth reading when a system misbehaves.

Goulds publishes ResiBoost as a rated duty point per model rather than a full curve, so the figures below are the manufacturer’s own. Each pump designation is the flow it delivers at the stated boost — the pressure the pump adds on top of what arrives at its inlet.

Drawing from a storage tank — nothing arrives with pressure, so what the pump adds is what you get. Read the rated duty straight through: a 13150RB3 gives 13 GPM at 65 psi.

Fed by a city main — the drive holds the pressure you set and only makes up the difference between the main and your setting. Where the main already delivers part of what you need, the same pump reaches that setting at a higher flow. Incoming pressure buys you more flow, not more pressure.

Best operating range: 13 GPM on the 13-series models, 22 GPM on the 22-series. The number in the part number is the flow at best efficiency. This is where the pump turns the most electricity into water pressure. Ask for more flow than it can deliver at your setting and it runs at full speed continuously, which is where motors and seals wear out. Sizing a booster to the building rather than to the headline numbers is what makes it last.

The rated duty is the flow at best efficiency, not the maximum — maximum flow is the separate column and is a ceiling, not a working point.
