Overview
The DAB JET is a self-priming centrifugal jet pump that lifts water from as deep as 29 ft, even with air bubbles in the suction line, for home water supply, gardens, small farms and light industrial service. A cast iron body and motor frame carry twin technopolymer impellers, a venturi and a sand filter; the closed, fan-cooled motor has built-in thermal and current protection. The pressure switch comes fitted, so the pump starts and stops on its own.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the JET pump with its built-in venturi and nozzle group, the single-phase motor with built-in overload protection, and a pressure switch fitted at DAB’s factory setting.
Pressure tank, foot valve and suction pipe: sized to your installation and ordered separately. DAB advises a foot valve on the suction line and a suction pipe no smaller than the pump inlet.

Digitized from the curves DAB plots on the JET 150-PS / 200-PS data sheet (DAB tabulates no figures), at the flows nearest 20%, 50% and 75% of each curve’s end, rounded down to whole PSI; feet = PSI × 2.31 (shut-off 215 ft and 218 ft). The JET 150 curve dips to about 168 ft near 6 GPM and recovers to 178 ft near 13 GPM, as DAB draws it; on the JET 200, DAB plots three points and the values between are its smoothing. Suction lift is not deducted. Curve tolerance to ISO 9906.

Installation Notes
- Install horizontally, in a ventilated place protected from the weather, with the ambient at 104 F or less.
- Anchor the pump firmly and keep pipe weight off its connections.
- Fit a foot valve on the suction; keep the suction pipe at least the size of the pump inlet.
- For lifts over 13 ft or long horizontal runs, use a larger suction pipe sloping slightly up toward the pump.
- Allow no more than 20 starts per hour.
- In freezing weather, drain the pump body through the drain cap if it will stand idle.
