Description
The JCM 801 single end expansion joint absorbs the axial expansion and contraction of a pipeline from changes in ambient and line temperature, with up to 10 in of concentrated pipe movement. A fabricated steel body houses an externally guided slip pipe that telescopes in and out of it, sealed by alternating rings of lubricated flax and rubber held by an adjustable packing gland.
The packing can be adjusted or replaced without taking the line out of service. JCM builds each expansion joint for its application: coatings, stainless steel fabrication, other end connections and more or less movement are available.
Typical application: Absorbing thermal expansion and contraction in exposed water, wastewater and process lines, such as bridge crossings, vaults and plant piping.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the fabricated steel body, stainless slip pipe, flax and rubber packing and adjustable packing gland, with weld-on or flanged ends, and limit rods on limit rod builds.
Pipe anchorage, provided at install. The expansion joint does not restrain the pipe; anchor the line so movement is directed into the joint.
Flange bolts and gaskets, ordered separately. Flanged builds bolt to the mating flanges.
Genuine JCM Industries equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
Rated by application. JCM engineers each expansion joint for the line; send the pipe type and OD, line contents, minimum and maximum temperatures and maximum working pressure and we will obtain JCM's rating and submittal.
