Description
The JCM 429 carbon steel tapping sleeve is built for tapping and branching IPS PVC, steel, HDPE and C900 PVC. Its extra-wide body reinforces PVC pipe, spreads the load and keeps the sleeve stable during the tap, and a broad, heavy gasket with a hydromechanical lip seals on PVC through its normal expansion and contraction.
It is furnished fusion epoxy coated with electro-coated bolts (stainless bolts optional). JCM does not recommend it for cast iron, ductile iron or A/C pipe; use the JCM 419 there.
Typical application: Branching: line branches, valves, internal line access.

Included: the sleeve halves with the gasket, bolts and nuts, and the 3/4 in test plug.
Tapping valve and tapping machine, ordered separately. An MJ tapping valve connects to the outlet; size-on-size taps need a 1/2 in undersized shell cutter.

12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
250 PSI working (300 PSI test) on 4-12 in pipe; 200 PSI (250 PSI test) on 12 x 12 in with stainless bolts. JCM's service rating; higher ratings are available for specific applications and sizes.
