Description
The JCM 204 steel reducing coupling is the simplest way to connect two sizes or types of plain-end pipe, either reducing or increasing, such as large steel pipe to ductile iron or C900 PVC. The most common sizes are listed; others are built to order.
It meets or exceeds ANSI/AWWA C219 for bolted sleeve-type couplings.
Typical application: Connection or repair: joins plain-end pipe of two different sizes or types.
Key Features
- Connects two pipe sizes or types in one fitting
- Most common sizes listed; other sizes built to order
- No beveling, threading or exact pipe alignment needed; installs with a wrench
- Gaskets absorb vibration and pipe movement and let curves be laid with straight pipe
- Meets or exceeds ANSI/AWWA C219
What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the reducing middle ring, two followers, two gaskets, and the bolts and nuts.
Pipe anchorage, provided at install. The coupling joins but does not restrain the pipe.
Genuine JCM Industries equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
250 PSI working pressure. JCM rates the 204 for 250 PSI working pressure when installed per its instructions; confirm specific sizes with us. On HDPE pipe, JCM recommends pipe stiffeners.

Before You OrderMeasure both pipe ODs before ordering.
Anchor the pipe: the coupling joins the pipe but does not restrain it, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the coupling.
