Overview

The TIGERFLOW CD10 is a vertical multistage centrifugal pump: suction and discharge in line on a common base, stacked stainless steel impellers, and a NEMA TC-frame TEFC motor on top. TIGERFLOW builds it for pressure boosting of potable water, solid-free water in industrial and municipal plants, fire-system jockey pumps, boiler feed, HVAC circulation and irrigation. The model number gives the nominal flow (10 m3/h, about 44 GPM) and the stage count: more stages, more head at the same flow. Fill and vent the pump before it starts; it does not prime itself.

  • Certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 for drinking water; cULus Listed
  • Hydraulically balanced; impellers and guide vanes stamped and laser-welded on robotic equipment
  • Cartridge-style mechanical seal on every model for fast removal
  • Premium-efficiency TEFC motors as standard; Minimum Efficiency Index (MEI) up to 0.7
  • 304/316 stainless impellers and body; cast iron or 316 pump head and base
What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the CD10 pump end and its TEFC motor (56C, 182TC, 184TC, 213TC, 215TC, 254TC frame by build), coupled as one complete pump, with 2 in ANSI Class 300 flanged suction and discharge.

Motor protection required, ordered separately. TIGERFLOW calls for a motor-protective circuit breaker set to the motor’s current, with the connection made by qualified personnel to the regulations in force. A drive or starter with overload protection does the same job.

Companion flanges, isolation valves and a non-return valve: sized to your piping and ordered separately. TIGERFLOW calls for isolation valves on both sides of the pump and a non-return valve against backflow; our NPT companion flange kits fit the 2 in Class 300 ports.

Genuine TIGERFLOW equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
1-Year TIGERFLOW Guarantee

Covered by TIGERFLOW’s one-year guarantee under normal operating conditions, as stated in the CD Series installation, operation and maintenance manual. Wearable parts are not covered by the guarantee, and any inadequate use of the product voids it (manufacturer’s wording).

Single Unit

Each CD10 runs as one complete pump. Size it to the full peak demand at the pressure you need. For a packaged simplex booster with drive, panel and valves already piped, the Tigercub CD10 is built on this pump.

Models & Performance — Will It Do What You Need?

Each table shows the pressure the pump develops at the flow shown, in PSI. Find your model and read across: the first column is the shut-off, the most the model can make.

Reading it: the CD10-9 holds 182 PSI at 42 GPM and 156 PSI at 56 GPM. Fed by a city main, the pump adds its pressure on top of what arrives.

Read from the published CD10 curves in the TIGERFLOW CD Series Vertical Multistage Pumps catalog (60 Hz, 3500 RPM), pp. 17-18, digitized from the catalog’s vector curve data and rounded down to whole PSI. Zero flow is the shut-off point — a ceiling, not a working point; TIGERFLOW prints no separate shut-off figure, so the 0 GPM column is where the dashed part of each curve meets zero flow. The solid (recommended) part of each curve starts at 26.4 GPM; 28 GPM is the first column inside it, the next two sit near 50% and 75% of the curve end, and the last column is the last regular digitized flow every curve reaches (the curve end is named above the table where it runs a little further). Single- and three-phase builds and the HP options of the same model run on the same curve. Feet of head = PSI × 2.31. The full curve, with power per stage and NPSHr, is in the image gallery.

Best operating range: 26.4 to 74.8 GPM, the solid section of TIGERFLOW’s published curve; below 26.4 GPM the curve is drawn dashed. The efficiency curve is in the image gallery.

Before You Buy — The Limits That Decide the Fit
Maximum pressure 45-349 PSI at shut-off, by model. Incoming pressure plus the shut-off pressure must stay below 362 PSI, TIGERFLOW’s maximum operating pressure.
Suction Fill and vent before start. A suction lift is possible only where H = barometric pressure × 2.31 − NPSHr − friction − vapor pressure stays positive; where H is negative, that much inlet pressure must be guaranteed (manual).
Minimum flow Run it with water flowing: never against a closed discharge valve, and never below the minimum recommended flow, or the pump overheats. Dry running damages the bearings and shaft.
Power 230/460V 3Ph by build; the supply must match the nameplate, with a motor-protective circuit breaker.
Water Clean, solid-free water. Certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372.
Temperature Liquid 5°F to 248°F (guide; 158°F on the standard type per the manual); above 104°F ambient the motor must not run at full load.
Installation Notes
  • Bolt the base to a flat, solid stand that carries the whole base plate; the stand should weigh at least 1.5 times the pump and, for motors up to 40 HP, be 8 in larger than the base.
  • Motors over 5 HP must be installed on a stand; never mount the motor below the base plate or inverted.
  • Give every pipe its own support, independent of the pump. Keep the suction pipe short, airtight and no smaller than the suction port.
  • Install isolation valves on both sides, a non-return (foot) valve against backflow, and a filter 1.6 to 3.3 ft ahead of the inlet.
  • Leave 6 in clear around the motor, in a ventilated, frost-free place; outdoors, fit a rain cover over the motor.
  • Check rotation at start-up: counterclockwise seen from the motor. Open the discharge valve slowly while bleeding air at the vent screw.
