Overview

DELTA HCU is a complete HVAC circulation package: two or three Grundfos NBSE split-coupled end-suction pumps with permanent-magnet MLE motors and onboard drives, stainless steel suction and discharge manifolds, valves, sensors and a CU 352 controller, assembled on one powder-coated steel base and tested at the factory. It arrives ready to set, pipe to one suction and one discharge connection, wire to one power feed, and commission — no field alignment, no separate VFDs, no field-built controls.

The CU 352 runs the pumps in cascade to hold the setpoint at the lowest energy, alternates duty and standby, and alarms on faults. BACnet is standard and a CIM module adds other protocols. Each pump has a suction diffuser with strainer and isolation valve on the inlet and a check valve with isolation valve on the outlet. The split-coupled pump design keeps the seal serviceable without moving the motor; seals are silicon carbide.

The two-pump unit runs one duty pump and one standby; the three-pump unit runs two duty pumps and one standby. Rated flow below is for the whole unit at its rated head.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the complete skid: pumps with MLE motors, manifolds, isolation and check valves, suction diffusers, pressure sensors, CU 352 controller in a painted metal cabinet, all on a steel base.

Ships: by LTL freight on its own skid, about 1,770-5,690 lb shipping weight. Built to order: lead time and freight are confirmed at quotation.

Needed to run: a 460-480V 3-phase supply, the system piping to the ANSI flanged manifolds, and a housekeeping pad.

Genuine Grundfos equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
