Overview

The CRE Plus is a single-pump constant pressure booster: a Grundfos CRE vertical multistage pump with an MLE motor (integrated variable frequency drive, controller and IE5 permanent-magnet motor), built onto a stainless steel base with the isolation valves, check valve, discharge piping, pressure transducer, gauges, low inlet pressure switch and a lockable disconnect. It is tested at the factory as a complete system, so on site it needs a suction and discharge connection, power and a diaphragm tank.

The MLE motor holds the setpoint by changing speed with demand, with soft pressure build-up (pipe fill), high-pressure limit and proportional pressure built in. A large graphical display on the motor sets everything without a separate tool, and every popular SCADA protocol is available through a CIM module.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: CRE pump with MLE motor, 304 SS base, 316 SS suction and discharge piping, isolation valves, check valve, 4-20 mA pressure transducer, liquid-filled gauges, low inlet pressure switch (3 psig, resets at 5 psig) and a NEMA 3R lockable disconnect.

Ships: about 80-557 lb; parcel for the smallest units, LTL for the rest.

Needed to run: a diaphragm tank (not included), the system piping, and the supply shown on the build (1Ph or 3Ph).

Before You Buy — The Limits That Decide the Fit
Tank A diaphragm tank is required and not included; size it for minimum run time.
Inlet The low inlet pressure switch stops the pump below 3 psig; check suction conditions.
Power 1Ph only on CRE 3-4, 3-5 and 5-4 builds; all others 3Ph 200-240V or 440-480V.
Water Clean, thin liquids to 176°F; NSF 61 for drinking water.
