Vertical turbine pumps from Goulds Water Technology for agriculture and irrigation — high-volume well pumping, pivot irrigation, livestock water, and orchard supply across Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and the Southwest. Lineshaft and submersible configurations available.
Match your operation to the right Goulds product family below.
Center-pivot irrigation systems requiring high-volume pumping from drilled wells. DWT lineshaft turbine is the standard choice for pivot supply.
Field flood irrigation requiring very high flow at moderate head. Larger DWT bowl sizes (12"–20") deliver 2,000–8,000+ GPM capacity.
Pressurized drip systems for orchards, vineyards, and row crops. Variable-speed Aquavar controllers maintain precise pressure across zone changes.
Cattle troughs, pivot fill, and barn service for ranch operations. Submersible jet pumps and small DWT turbines for moderate-volume livestock supply.
Sustained-pressure water for orchard sprinklers, vineyard drip, and fruit-rinse stations. VIS submersible turbines for deeper wells with quieter operation.
Replace aging or failing turbine with new equipment, or rebowl and rebuild your existing Goulds turbine. Lubbock, TX Customer Service Center supports both.
Goulds vertical turbines are manufactured at the Lubbock, Texas plant — heritage Texas turbine manufacturing for the Southwest agricultural market.

Deep Well · Agricultural Workhorse
The Goulds workhorse for agricultural irrigation. Motor at the surface for easy electrical access, hydraulics submerged for efficient pumping. Glass-lined cast iron bowls with bronze bearings throughout.

Borehole Submersible · Quieter Operation
Submersible vertical turbine for deep-set well pumping. Quieter at the surface than lineshaft (motor is submerged), easier installation in slightly-crooked wells. Pairs with NEMA submersible motors.

VFD Pressure Control · Variable Speed
Aquavar pump controllers from CentriPro, including the Intelligent Pump Controller and Aquastart soft-start. Designed by hydraulic engineers for precise control of speed, pressure, flow, and level. Pairs with DWT and VIS turbines for variable-speed irrigation.
Common decisions where engineering input ensures the right turbine configuration the first time.
DWT: easier electrical service, more material flexibility. VIS: quieter, easier in crooked wells, better for deep settings. Most pivot irrigation uses DWT.
Bowl diameter sized to required flow at duty point. Bowls run most efficient at design point — oversized bowls operate inefficiently at part load.
Required head divided by per-stage head capacity determines stage count. Multi-stage turbines develop substantial head while maintaining efficient impeller geometry.
VFD makes sense when irrigation zones vary, demand changes through season, or pressure precision matters. Across-the-line for steady high-volume duty.
Water lube: simpler, lower cost, intermittent service. Oil lube: continuous service, abrasive water, deep settings. Most agricultural irrigation uses water lube.
Glass-lined cast iron handles most well water. Hard iron or high chrome for sandy / abrasive content. 316 SS for chloride exposure. Match to water analysis.
Goulds vertical turbines are manufactured at the Lubbock, Texas Customer Service Center — the heritage Texas turbine plant servicing agricultural and industrial water across the Southwest. Pattern shop, foundry, manufacturing, and warehousing all integrated. Local manufacturing means faster delivery and direct factory support for Texas agricultural projects.
Engineering-led pump selection. Agricultural turbine selection involves more variables than centrifugal pumps — bowl sizing, stage count, lubrication method, motor selection, and material specification. We confirm well log data, water analysis, and required duty point before quoting.
Rebowl, rebuild, and repair on existing units. Aging Goulds turbines (or competing brands) can often be rebuilt rather than replaced. Rebowls upgrade efficiency, rebuilds restore worn pumps to factory spec. We coordinate through the Lubbock service center.
Houston-based, Gulf Coast and Southwest focused. Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico agricultural service. Faster shipping than out-of-region distributors, and direct technical support for field service issues.
